I did this portrait a few months ago. It may not be the best for portrait of myself but I do love the lighting in this and the journey to achieving this portrait from the set up to its execution.
We were in a restaurant having a birthday meal when I saw this interesting light made by the blinds where we were sat on my partner’s face. So I captured these images. I love how all of these turned out. With the moody lighting and the way the sun is painted across her face.
These remind me of the time I’ve spent in Malta and how I built up the courage to start a conversation with a stranger. I wonder sometimes why is it so difficult for me just to do that?
